Dementia Controller

The Intercall Dementia Controller is a non-intrusive way to monitor residents’ rooms. It detects when a resident gets out of bed and switches on room lighting to help reduce the risk of a fall, and alerts staff through the Intercall nurse call system if behaviour is abnormal. It controls bed and WC lights to guide confused residents, and has 18 behaviour profiles so each resident’s settings can be adjusted. The simplest profile uses a bed pressure mat to detect when a resident is out of bed and switch on the lights. Simple two-button operation and an LCD screen let staff arm the door and bed sensors independently.
